The HSE Officer will be fully responsible for overseeing the implementation of safety procedures and standards within the worksite and exhibition area, ensuring the protection of individuals, facilities, exhibitors, and visitors. The role includes risk assessment, monitoring compliance with safety procedures across all stages of implementation, responding promptly to incidents and emergencies, and providing preventive recommendations to maintain a safe and organized working environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Assess risks related to booth construction and decoration and ensure compliance with approved safety standards.
Supervise lifting, loading operations, and the use of cranes and heavy machinery, ensuring safety procedures are followed for work at heights.
Inspect and review electrical installations and connections to prevent electrical hazards and fire risks.
Ensure fire extinguishers and firefighting equipment are properly available, positioned, and compliant with safety requirements.
Monitor emergency exits and walkways to ensure evacuation routes remain unobstructed.
Develop and implement emergency and evacuation plans to ensure fast and safe response in case of incidents.
Coordinate with on-site medical and first aid teams to handle emergency cases.
Monitor food and beverage service providers to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Conduct regular inspection rounds and document any safety violations or observations.
Prepare and submit daily reports to management, including overall safety status, identified risks, and corrective actions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Prior practical experience in occupational health and safety (preferably in exhibitions, large-scale events, or construction projects).
Strong knowledge of international safety standards and risk management practices.
High ability to quickly identify hazards and respond effectively to emergencies.
Strong communication and coordination skills with operational teams and relevant stakeholders.
Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced field environments.
